Dear Mr. Oettinger:

It has been over one month since the meeting with Senator Lisa Madigan and Mrs. Yolanda Ytreiguts regarding the Walgreen stores that didn't meet the American Disability Act Accessibility Code.

Mr. Oettinger, the United Voice for Disabled Americans filed a complaint over a year ago with the Illinois Bureau for Disabilities against Walgreen's because there are quite a number of the Walgreen stores that did not meet the American Disability Act Accessibility Code.

The Unified Voice of Disabled America has informed the Illinois Disability Rights Bureau of the agreement that was made with Senator Madigan and Mrs. Ytreiguts at this meeting. We will be working very closely with them to see that the stores that do not meet the code are corrected. We will expect you to get in touch with them very shortly since you only asked for a month to get this survey. When we notified the Bureau for Disabilities we also told them to keep us informed of their progress with Walgreen's.

The Village of Hanover Park was sent a letter that we want a meeting with them, Walgreen's and the Bureau for Disabilities. We want to see the blue prints of the Walgreen's at Barrington and Irving Park Roads. We also told them we want to know who okayed these blue prints. This store is illegal and does not meet any of the Accessibility Codes.

The Unified Voice of Disabled America expects Walgreen's and the Illinois Bureau for Disability to work together. If they do not get your cooperation we will take further action to see that these corrections are made.

The other part of this agreement, we were promised an automatic shopping cart in every Illinois Walgreen's store.
