Ms. Lisa Madigan
Illinois Attorney General
500 S. Second St.
Springfield, IL 62706
Dear Ms. Madigan:
I have been in touch with Lisa Dana, IL. Bureau with Disabilities.
Unified Voice of Disabled America was told it took twenty-eight days after filing against Walgreen's for them to reply. It has been way over twenty-eight days for their reply.
I would like to know where we are with Walgreen's? There has been nothing on the news as to their reply and what steps the Illinois Attorney General's Office is taking against their reply to stop new construction or corrections on old Walgreen stores.
Ms. Madigan, we expect to hear from you and not Lisa Dana. The prior administration took the same stand regarding answering our letters. You filed against Walgreen's after elected to the Illinois Attorney General Office but Walgreen's is still building and doing what they want making corrections that don't meet the ADA Accessibility Law. Walgreen's acts as they are "ABOVE THE LAW." The Walgreen problem is throughout the state of Illinois.
We want a meeting with you and Lisa Dana regarding Walgreen's. Please understand it does not make any difference who or how many people you have working with you on the ADA Accessibility Law. The people with disabilities are unifying and discussing how we are going to make the ADA Accessibility Law work for all of us and not what you or anybody else decides what is right for us. The people of Illinois make the decision as to which persons they want in office. The persons with disabilities can make a difference as to who is going to stay in office next election.
Please let us know when this meeting can be arranged.
Cordially,
Rosemarie A. Botthof
