Mr. Dennis Day
Vice-President Support Services
Little Company of Mary Hospital
2800 W. 95th St.
Evergreen Park, IL. 60805

Dear Mr. Day:

Thank you very much for your meeting with Linda Stearns and the aerial pictures of your lots.

Mr. Day, the thirty-one handicap parking spaces that the Little Company of Mary Hospital has provided are a start in the right direction. The Unified Voice of Disabled Americans figures we are still short approximately eighteen sixteen-foot handicap parking spaces. We use the straight ratio of one handicap space for every twenty-five. This means 49 handicap parking spaces. We have been allotted thirty-one handicap parking spaces. Everyone interrupts the ADA Law the way it suits them at the time but not according to the service provided. The problem with the ADA Accessibility Law it is not defined properly. The Little Company of Mary Hospital is a medical facility.

Christ Hospital should be the example for all medical facilities. They have more than ample sixteen feet handicap parking spaces. They even went one-step further. Enclosed you will find pictures from Christ's Hospital. Please note what they have done to secure the handicap parking spaces from being violated. They have posted a sign that shows the cooperation between the City of Oak Lawn, the police department and the hospital. This is known as working together for persons with disabilities.

The handicap parking spaces is still not resolved.
