Mr. James Sexton
Mayor
City of Evergreen Park
9418 S. Kedzie Ave
Evergreen Park, IL 60805

Dear Mayor Sexton:

I attended your last council meeting re the Little Company of Mary Hospital handicap-parking lot.

It is my understanding that you are getting some heat from the residents of Evergreen Park, IL. They do not want an additional parking lot. This lot was stated in the Reporter newspaper as being necessary for people with disabilities. The majority of the parking spots in the lots now that are marked for the disabled are not accessible. Why would this lot be any different?

I asked at the meeting," Why was there so much discrepancy when it comes to the rights for persons with disabilities?" You and the Evergreen Park board did nothing to see that ADA Accessibility Law was enforced knowing that Little Company of Mary Hospital had four parking lots. They were in violation of the handicap parking spaces.

Unified Voice for Disabled Americans has been getting a lot of complaints regarding the lack of handicap parking spaces. We also were told the handicap parking spaces were not sixteen feet wide. Eight feet on the left for car or van. Eight on the right stripped. I checked them all out and found every complaint was correct.

Rosemarie Botthof has been dealing with Thomas Knox of Little Company of Mary Hospital the past few months. Mr. Knox failed to tell us there were four parking lots. He gave Rosemarie Botthof a problem re the number of sixteen feet handicap parking spaces using the excuse of valet parking.

The ADA Accessibility Law and the Civil Rights Act has been violated against persons with disabilities. We are holding you and your board personally responsible for this violation along with Little Company of Mary Hospital against persons with disabilities.

July 21st Rosemarie Botthof sent Mr. J. Peter Nielson, President of Little Company Hospital a letter stating our position. You will be receiving a copy of this letter. Two weeks from the date of this letter I expect to hear from you. My phone number is 708 423 xxxx.

Please check out our website www.bonewits.net/UVDA-0.htm Walgreen's, Graham Parking Garage, Christ's Hospital have been started and finished by Unified Voice for Disabled Americans. Our purpose is to stop discrimination and violation of our rights. The Unified Voice for Disabled Americans is made up of persons with disabilities. We know our rights. We are getting Washington, DC involved.
