Mr. James Pate Phillips
Senate President
Office of the Senate President
50 E Oak St
Addison, IL 60101
Dear Senator Phillips:
Thank you very much for your letter September 27, 2001.
Since my letter to you I have been in touch with the US Justice Dept and have sent them copies of all my letters to everyone and the same pictures. I called them direct and had a long conversation with them. This is when it was decided to send them all that I have. They did not understand why we are not getting any answers. Told them it was their fault because everyone seems to know what is best for us.
Senator Phillips, I am not acting alone on this, as everyone seems to think. We are just splitting up all the grievances that have been building up for the past ten years. The next two steps are the Internet and President George Bush unless we start hearing from Mr. Jim Ryan plus Norma from the disability department. Mr. Ryan is not going to be able to say he did not know what is going on. We heard that story before. You are now going to hear more and more from us.
I have been in touch with the suburbs and they seem to think they are obeying the law. Funny thing they say they are enforcing the state disability law. The state is breaking the law so how do you expect the Suburbs to know what is correct?
As I have explained to the Justice Dept. this is their fault for not making sure the laws were not enforced. Senator Phillips, the only way this is going to be corrected is if the Justice Department changes the law about inspectors and each state does the same and start listening to us.
Enclosed you will find another letter to Jim Ryan and the disability dept.
Thank you again.
Cordially yours,
Rosemarie A Botthof
