Disabled Parking Space
The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD) reviewed your letter of request for a disabled parking space near the entrance of the Jewel/Osco store located on Archer and Austin Avenue. MOPD supports your claim and has conducted a site survey.
MOPD has found that the location and dimension of the parking space is in compliance with the Illinois Accessibility Code, Sec. 400.310(c). It was observed that two parking spaces are directly adjacent from the main entrance of the store, and a third parking space is directly connected to a curb cut that leads to a sidewalk leading to the main entrance. There are also two additional parking spaces that are connected by a striped access aisle to the main entrance of the Jewel store.
After conducting a complete survey, the Jewel/Osco store located on Archer and Austin was found to be in full compliance with the current accessibility guidelines.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at (312) 744-4441.
Sincerely,
Chris Zafiris
