The Unified Voice of Disabled America wants to thank you and Chief of Police Richard Eddington for enforcing the handicap parking laws.

It was brought to our attention that your police officers are checking the cars or vans that are parked in the handicap parking spaces and they are issuing tickets for those parked illegally. Thank you.

We can't tell you what it means to a handicap person to find a handicap parking space when they go out shopping or just go out to spend a day.

We are trying our best to see that the Americans with Disabilities Act are enforced. Over ten years ago this act was signed into law but; the independence we thought we were getting has not become reality.
