Mr. John L. Wodatch
Chief Disability Rights Section
950 Pennsylvania Ave
Washington, DC 20530

Dear Mr. Wodatch:

We are in receipt of your letter dated June l0, 2004.

The Unified Voice for Disabled Americans does not need to file any complaints with the Justice Department. We have settled accessibility cases in which we have filed complaints.

In your letter, you specified that the federal government is not responsible for enforcing the ADA law on private property. This is why we have the problems we have, ENFORCEMENT. Please do not make fools out of us that we don't know what we are talking about and the government is doing everything for us. It isn't and you know it, because all the complaints that are filed with the Justice Department and with us.

Please do not tell us our Civil Rights are not being violated or we are not being discriminated against. It happens everyday of the week, twenty-four hours a day.

The new US Access Board that President Bush formed is doing exactly what they were supposed to do. We have all the reports from the beginning. It addressed the problems we are having and what they are proposing. These proposals are to be presented July 28, 2004. You did notice the word PROPOSING. We questioned the handicap parking space problem. This is one of three big problems that persons with disability have for accessibility. Open sidewalks and curbs and automatic doors are the others, on private property. This is where the law breaks down. Your letter specifies where the break down is. PRIVATE PROPERTY!!!!!!

The new Access Board can make all the proposals they want, but; the break down is still there. These proposals are for accessibility to businesses in malls and strip malls, commercial and government buildings, medical facilities and hospitals, health clubs, and US Post Offices that are all on private properties. If the ADA Law does not cover private property there will always be problems with outside accessibility.

Please tell us where it is written into law that the federal government cannot be taken to court for not enforcing the ADA Accessibility Law.

Please tell us were it is written into law that we can't take the federal government into court when the Unified Voice for Disabled Americans can prove we are being discriminated against and our civil rights are being violated.

Please tell us where it is written the Unified Voice for Disabled Americans can't name President George Bush, you and your agency in a law suite for discrimination and our civil rights being violated.

President Bush can't meet with us because one million disabled persons in the State of Illinois are not important enough to discuss our problem of accessibility, but; has time to tell countries how their citizens have a right to freedom.

Where is our right as citizens of the United States? When did we loose our rights for freedom? Where is our right not to be treated as second-rate citizens? Where are the rights of parents that have a child with disabilities from birth defects or a disease to be able to move about freely? Where are the rights of the service persons coming back from this war or any other recent war with disabilities defending our country, but; are forgotten about because they now have a disability?

We can prove what we say when we go after anyone. This is why we don't worry about going to court. Unified Voice for Disabled Americans is not going to march on Washington, D.C as the Vietnam Veterans did in 1990. We are going to start demonstrating here at the business violating our rights. We will make sure it gets coverage. We will make sure whom we have contacted with our problem and their response is noted. We will, also, publish our results on our web site to verify everything we are saying.

Persons with disabilities are citizens of the United States and the Constitution, which is the foundation for our lives, covers us too. It doesn't say the persons with disabilities are excluded.

The Unified Voice for Disabled Americans had better be taken very seriously. We can prove what we are saying. We fight a war from the time we get up in the morning to the time we go to bed at night. We deserve the same rights to LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT TO HAPPINESS.

Please check out the web site and the counter. The counter went down twice so the number should be greater than is shown. www.bonewits.net/UVDA-0.htm The 0 is #0.

We will be waiting to hear from you and the White House. We want ACCESSIBILITY.
